Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera has been the celebrity endorser of Nailandia for nine years now.
Nailandia’s owner, Noreen Divina, fondly recalled how they got the host of the long-running OFW-themed drama anthology Tadhana, who is also set to be the lead actress of the upcoming primetime soap Against All Odds.
Noreen said, “Thru a franchisee. Kasi bank manager siya ng BDO and then doon yung account ni Rams.”
Ramel ‘Rams’ David (of Artist Circle Talent Management) is Marian’s friend and former manager.
“So sabi niya, ‘Kilala ko yung manager ni Marian. Bakit hindi tayo mag-Marian Rivera, Ms. Noreen?
“Sabi ko, ‘Naku! Baka hindi natin kayanin. Ang mahal!’
“Sabi niya, ‘Hindi, basta kausapin mo lang si Rams.’
“Ayun! Sa awa ng Diyos… nagkaayos naman kami and the rest is history.”
What is Marian Rivera like?
Noreen acknowledged that the nail salon and foot spa chain she owns with her husband Juncynth Divina became popular ever since Marian first endorsed it back in 2014.
“Napakabait ni Marian,” she exclaimed. “To think na nandun na siya sa stature na Marian Rivera, di ba? Napakabait.
“Parang, ‘Totoo ba ‘to? Artista ba ‘to? Superstar ba ‘to?
“Parang ganun. Ambait-bait niya, napaka-down-to-earth.
“At napakaganda!
“At nung na-meet ko siya, may show siya sa GMA. Yung Marian, ay naku, naka-tank top, dyusko ganyan lang yung waist, napakaliit, grabe!”
Marian was the host of her self-titled musical variety show on GMA Network in 2014.
On friendship with Marian
Noreen is grateful that her relationship with Marian goes beyond business and endorsements as their friendship has been going stronger for nine years now.
“Actually yung relationship namin ni Marian, hindi na more on business.”
Noreen mentioned that Marian has shown her compassion and selflessness, most especially during the pandemic. She did not want to go into details but reiterated how Marian transcended from being a business partner to a friend.
“Basta ang masasabi ko, hindi na lang business ang relationship namin ni Marian, friendship na.
“Our business relationship has transcended into a strong and deep friendship,” ang nakangiting wika pa ni Noreen.
Renewal of contract
“Nakilala nang husto ang Nailandia dahil sa kanya. Napaka-effective niyang endorser, wala akong masabi. And kasi naman di ba, sa mga fans pa lang niya, sobra, grabe!
‘Tapos napaka-perfect niyang role model: good wife, good mother, good daughter, good apo, good friend, ideal na celebrity, walang bisyo, malinis ang image.
“Complete package!”
Last May 26, Marian renewed her contract as the sole celebrity endorser of Nailandia.
The renewal was graced by the presence of Mike Tuviera of Triple A management (All Access to Artists, Inc.).
Noreen has no plans to get another female endroser for Nailandia.
“Marian Rivera is Marian Rivera. Siya lang, sapat na… Actually, sobra pa! Napakalakas ng hatak niya sa tao.”
Noreen added, “At siya mismo ang nagtatangkilik ng Nailandia. Talagang pumupunta siya, dinadala niya yung mommy niya, yung lola niya.
“Nagpapa-spa party siya sa mga kaibigan niya. At may advocacy siya tungkol sa mga single mother, pina-spa party niya.”

“Nailandia is coming up with something very big before the year ends, for the public! Something very exciting.
“Because Nailandia is blessed with so much, so we are giving back to the people just the same.”
