True enough, there is ‘Only Nina’ as the Asia’s Diamond Soul Siren is set to hold her special birthday concert on November 8 at 8PM in Samsung Hall, SM Aura in Taguig.
During a recent media conference in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Nina shared that they also want to cater to the young audiences.
“Medyo may pagka-nostalgic din,” she shared, referring to the atmosphere of her upcoming concert which will be directed by actor John Prats, “Pero siyempre we don’t want to leave out the younger ones. Pero nowadays, yung younger ones, parang alam pa rin nila yung Jealous, Someday… Nagugulat din ako, actually.”

‘Only Nina’ is produced by Vera Group Inc. and District One, with Mr. Bobby Velasco as the musical director and John Prats as the concert director.
When it comes to being collaborative with her director, she said, “Since this is going to be the first time that we will be working together, talagang we talk about things that will deliver a very, very good concert to everyone… Kung may mga idea ako na gustong ibato kay Direk, he will consider. And kung may mga idea din siya, I will consider. So talagang it’s a team effort.”
On the title of her birthday concert, Nina affirmed its ambiguity. “Kumbaga pag sinabing Only Nina,’ kung ano yung naisip mo, pwede: If you would consider it like ‘Nina lang’ or ‘ikaw lang ang makakagawa no’n.’ “
Nina holds the record for being the first female OPM artist to receive a diamond certification from Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI).
She has released seven studio albums, one live album, three compilation albums, one remix album and a impressive total of 43 singles.
Despite being busy as a mother, she continued to show her love for the music industry through shows abroad, corporate appearances, as well as live gigs.
She also acknowledged the importance of resting her voice. “If I need time to rest, I do it… Hindi naman that I don’t need to prove anything. Ngayon, I still give a 110% to any show, kahit bar yan, kahit three songs lang yan… I also give time for myself in order for me to share my music to everyone. Kasi if I don’t rest, ano na lang ipapakita ko sa kanila? Ano’ng ishi-share sa kanilang music?”
Only Nina tickets are now available in all SM Ticket outlets, through their website, and at District One, BGC. Price ranges from P2,500 (Upper Box C) to P15,500 (SVIP).
