Hong Kong remake of Korea’s ‘Business Proposal’ streams on Viu Philippines

Viu Philippines introduces the much-anticipated Hong Kong adaptation of the hit webtoon series “Business Proposal.” As a leading platform for premium Asian content, Viu continues to captivate audiences with this fresh take on the beloved storyline.

Starring local model and actress Hanna Chan, the Hong Kong version follows the journey of an office worker who, disguised as her wealthy best friend, embarks on a blind date. Anson Lo plays the CEO pressured by his grandfather to find a suitable wife. The twist unfolds when the protagonist realizes her date is none other than her company’s CEO, determined to marry her.

Edan Lui takes on the role of the CEO’s executive assistant, adding a romantic subplot as he falls for the rich best friend portrayed by Shirley Sham.

This adaptation adheres to the original webtoon’s storyline, and the creator, HaeHwa, expresses excitement for the new rendition. Notably, the cast includes household names in Hong Kong, with Edan and Anson from the popular boy group Mirror.

To resonate with local viewers, the storyline features tweaks, such as a shift from a fried chicken company to a Hong Kong-style restaurant. Additionally, certain characters, like the grandfather’s driver, enjoy increased screen exposure.

“Business Proposal (HK Adaptation)” is now streaming every Monday to Friday on Viu. Watch the series for free by downloading the Viu app from the Apple Store or Play Store, or visit www.viu.com.
