On November 18, 2023, the Kawit Local Government Unit (LGU) inaugurated the holiday-lit shrine and park with a memorable ceremony-cum-concert.
During the grand opening, renowned artists Gessie K., Nef Medina, and Agsunta serenaded Kawiteños and visitors from neighboring cities against the backdrop of enchanting Christmas decorations curated by the local government.
Utilizing state-of-the-art 3D projection technology, the historic Aguinaldo Shrine radiated with a brilliant glow.
The LGU adorned the surroundings with light decorations inspired by fireworks, creating a mesmerizing display of lights synchronized to various tempos.
Breaking new ground, the LGU introduced a captivating light tunnel in front of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo’s monument, drawing the attention of selfie enthusiasts.
The illuminated Santa Claus and butterfly garden became a favorite attraction for both children and the young at heart.
Mayor Angelo Emilio Aguinaldo emphasized the LGU’s commitment to creating lasting Christmas memories for Kawiteños and Filipinos seeking a unique holiday destination.
“Our goal is to convey the spirit of Christmas filled with love and compassion, uniquely experienced in Kawit. Through our #RatedTripleA program, we consistently aim to bring joy to Kawit, especially during the festive season,” Mayor Aguinaldo stated.
Starting December 1, visitors can bask in the brilliance of the Christmas lights from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM, catering to Las Tiendas patrons and devout Christians attending the traditional Simbang Gabi.
