Jeri is making significant strides in the Philippine music scene with his debut single ‘Gusto Kita,’ released under ABS-CBN’s Tarsier Records. Just this month, he received the New Male Artist Award at the latest edition of Aliw Awards.

‘Gusto Kita’ is a poignant love ballad co-authored with Vehnee Saturno. It has rapidly gained momentum, featuring prominently on top radio stations such as WishFM 107.5 and Energy 106.7. Its appeal extends further, captivating audiences across radio stations in Visayas and Mindanao.

When asked about how he feels about the release of his debut single, he noted that this is the start of his dreams becoming a reality.

“Nag-start na yung ‘dream come true ko’ na gusto ko talagang maging singer, performer,” he shared with a smile. “And of course, sabi nga ni Mr. Roxy [Liquigan, head of the ABS-CBN Music ecosystem], since I’m very young and I have a lot of potentials, I can explore different genres and write more songs…” 

Apart from its radio success, ‘Gusto Kita’ has also caught the attention of television audiences. The track seamlessly complements a popular segment on the well-known TV show, It’s Showtime.

Demonstrating his commitment to his craft, Jeri has been actively promoting his single through live performances. He recently took the stage at The Palacios in San Pablo, Laguna, and delivered a memorable performance at Bo Cerrudo’s 35th-anniversary concert at Teatrino.

Further cementing his place in the industry, with Jeri’s Best New Male Artist award at the Aliw Awards ceremony, his dedication and talent have garnered widespread acclaim. The event, hosted at Manila Hotel’s Centennial Hall, recognizes outstanding achievements in live entertainment. Reflecting on this prestigious accolade, Jeri expressed profound gratitude, recognizing the significance of the award early in his promising career.

As ‘Gusto Kita’ continues to resonate on streaming platforms, Jeri’s future as a singer-composer looks increasingly promising under Tarsier Records, a division of ABS-CBN’s Star Music.
