Feel all the love in ‘Dearly Beloved’ with Cristine Reyes, Baron Geisler in their first film together

For the first time on the big screen, Cristine Reyes and Baron Geisler unite in an unforgettable drama from the director of the hit Netflix film ‘Doll House.’ Starting March 30, their film ‘Dearly Beloved’ will be shown in theaters nationwide.

Embark on a journey of love, sacrifice, and life’s trials in one of the anticipated films of the year — a poignant tale that promises to tug at your heartstrings with these two powerhouse actors.

Here are some snapshots from their media conference held yesterday, March 13, at Viva Cafe in Araneta City, Cubao.

Cristine commended her co-actor Baron, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in creating compelling scenes, Baron reciprocated the praise with gratitude and admiration for his co-star. He highlighted their collaborative process, expressing his appreciation for Cristine’s professionalism and openness during their interactions on set.

“Magaling si Baron… I think, we collaborated. You know, kapag magaling yung kasama mo sa trabaho, talagang magku-collab kayo, magiging maganda yung eksena. Mas pagagandahin pa: maganda na nga yung sulat at pagdidirek ni Direk Marla, pero kapag may kasama ka pa na aktor, alam mo yon, mas mapapaganda.”

(“Baron is excellent… I think, we collaborated. You know, when you work with someone talented, you really collaborate, and the scene becomes beautiful. It enhances even more: the writing and direction by Director Marla are already good, but when you have an actor with you, you know, it becomes even better.”)

Baron reacted, “Thank you, thank you. Ako naman, speechless. thank you sa mga sinabi ni Ma’am Ceristine. Working with Cristine, gaya ng sinabi niya kanina, nagku-collaborate kami. Bago pa man kami bigyan ng rules ni Direk, mag-uusap kami ni Cristine. Pupunta han ko talaga. I make it a point na puntahan si Cristine…

“As for me, speechless. Thank you for what Ma’am Cristine said. Working with Cristine, as she mentioned earlier, we collaborated. Even before we were given rules by the Director, Cristine and I would talk. I really make an effort to approach Cristine…)

“[She] was very open to read the lines with me, to ask questions with me… She’s very professional… I’m just very blessed working with the best of the best in this film.”

A heartfelt narrative of love and sacrifice

In ‘Dearly Beloved,’ Deo (Baron Geisler) and Shel (Cristine Reyes) find their destinies intertwined one fateful night at a bar, where sparks fly and love blossoms. As they embark on a journey together, blending their families and creating a home filled with love, they face the harsh reality that their pasts still linger, tethering them to their former spouses and societal expectations.

Despite the warmth and unity within their blended family, Deo and Shel grapple with the judgments of others and the pressures of societal norms. With their children from previous marriages, they strive to carve out a harmonious existence, but the shadows of their pasts threaten to unravel the fragile tapestry they’ve woven.
