Entertainment bloggers covering television, movies, theater, and online content gathered this March 21, 2024, for their inaugural general assembly, marking a significant milestone in the creation of a union aimed at empowering the entertainment blogging community. The birth of the Philippine Entertainment Bloggers Association (PEBA) heralds a new era of collaboration and support among industry peers.
PEBA President Albert Abelido of The Chikkaness, speaking passionately about the organization’s vision, emphasized the collective love for sharing entertainment news and the determination to overcome challenges associated with digital storytelling. He underscored the importance of perseverance in navigating the evolving landscape of media.

With a robust membership of thirty-eight (38) individuals boasting impressive metrics—such as over 2 million monthly website views, 4.3 million Facebook followers, substantial followings across various social media platforms—the association stands as a testament to the strength found in unity.
While blogging has flourished in the Philippines for over a decade, the formation of PEBA represents the first concerted effort to establish an organized body within the community. What began as a mere dream for some members has now materialized into a tangible reality.

PEBA’s mission is clear: to equip entertainment bloggers with the tools and opportunities necessary for building personal brands, fostering connections with industry professionals, leveraging platforms for positive impact, and championing authentic storytelling. By upholding the standards of digital narrative and fostering a conducive working environment, PEBA aims to ensure the success of its current and future members.
During the inaugural assembly, several projects were announced, including PEBAyanihan initiatives, skill-building workshops, collaborations with industry professionals, and the eagerly anticipated PEBA Awards Night. These endeavors not only benefit PEBA members but also strengthen partnerships and foster broader community engagement.

Hosted at the prestigious 38 Valencia Place, the headquarters of Mother Lily and Ms. Roselle Monteverde’s Regal Entertainment, Inc., the PEBA general assembly attracted notable personalities from the entertainment industry. Attendees included representatives from AsterisK Entertainment, OC Records, VIVA Artists Agency, and other esteemed organizations.

The Philippine Entertainment Bloggers Association extends its gratitude to its supporters, including Ms. Anna Magkawas and Luxe Beauty and Wellness Group, Ms. Peachy Vibal-Guioguio and Media.Xchange, Ms. Marianne Ferrer de Vera and Pascual Laboratories, Inc., Ms. Ana Liza Bautista and Penser Q Multimedia Company, and Ms. Rhea Anicoche-Tan and Beautederm Corporation.
