Streaming platform Vivamax introduces two compelling new sexy dramas that showcase unforgettable women: “Cita” and “Nurse Abi,” premiering on June 18 and June 21, respectively.
Below are some snaps and interview snippets from their back-to-back media conference, where CinemaBravo was invited, at the boardroom of Viva office in Ortigas, Pasig City.
Cita
For “Cita,” cast members Erika Balagtas, newbie Renzo Ruiz, and veteran actor Francis Mata were present alongside their director MJ Balagtas, who happens to be a relative of Erika.
Erika talked about her dynamics with her co-actors and the difference between her own personality and that of her character.
“Before kami mag-start, especially sa mga sexy scene, pinag-uusapan namin kung sa’n yung mga limitation at kung pa’no namin magagawa nang maayos yung mga scene namin. Sobrang challenging sa akin ng role na ‘to kasi sobrang kabaligtaran ko si Cita. Kasi si Cita, sobrang tapang niya na babae; ako naman in real life, medyo malumanay lang.”
(Before we start, especially in the sexy scenes, we discuss our boundaries and how we can perform the scenes properly. This role is very challenging for me because Cita is the complete opposite of me. Cita is a very bold woman, while in real life, I’m quite gentle.)

As for Renzo, granted that this is his first Vivamax film, he has embraced the challenge wholeheartedly.
“As a newbie actor, first time ko rin yung mga gano’ng sex scene. Talagang kinabahan din ako. Siyempre nando’n na ako, binigay ko na yung best ko. Ngayon, naghahanda pa rin ako para sa mga ibibigay na project sa akin para mas maganda yung makita ng mga tao.”
(As a newbie actor, it’s also my first time doing those kinds of sex scenes. I was really nervous. But since I was already there, I gave my best. Now, I’m still preparing for future projects so that people will see even better performances.)
When asked about working with Erika on steamy scenes, he said, “Okay naman siya kasama. Magaan siya kasama. Hindi naman ako napi-pressure sa kanya. Nag-uusap naman kami nang maayos bago simulan yung trabaho.”
(She’s great to work with. It’s easy to work with her. I don’t feel pressured around her. We discuss things properly before starting the work.)
In “Cita,” Erika Balagtas plays the role of a woman who boldly pursues her desires for comfort and happiness. The movie also stars Zia Zamora and Arjay Bautista.
A beautiful young woman, Cita, is a dedicated and supportive wife to her wealthy farm-owner husband, Turo (Francis Mata). With her comfortable life and secure future, Cita is devoted to fulfill her duties for Turo, both on the farm and as a wife.
But unknown to Cita, Turo is having an affair with a seductive and mysterious young woman named Vanessa (Zia Zamora). Cita, on the other hand, is drawn to the charm of Turo’s stepson, Aldoy (Enzo Ruiz).
Aldoy has a deep resentment and a personal vendetta against Turo. He takes advantage of Cita’s weakness and seduces her to convince her to cause trouble and harm in Turo’s life, then claim the farm for themselves.
Will Cita go against her husband and give in to Aldoy’s vindictive plan? Will her finding out about Turo’s affair make a difference and make her agree to Aldoy’s plan?
Don’t miss Erika Balagtas’s daring journey in “Cita,” available on Vivamax starting June 18, 2024.
Nurse Abi
For “Nurse Abi,” lead stars Vince Rillon and newcomer Alessandra Cruz were present at the event, together with their director Dustin Celestino.
After a slew of projects in 2023, this serves as a comeback project for Rillon, who took a breather in the first half of the year before appearing yet again for a new project for Vivamax.
“Kasi ngayon, yung mga bago, hindi ko pa lahat nakakatrabaho… Hindi pa ako rumaratrat ngayon e, kaya hindi ko pa alam kung may pagbabago ba sa mga shoot, gano’n. Kumbaga, wala pa. Hindi ko pa mai-compare,” he shared.
(Right now, I haven’t worked with all the new ones… I’m not going all out yet, so I don’t know if there have been any changes in the shoots. So, I can’t compare yet.)
“Si Alessandra pa lang yung nakakatrabaho ngayon dito, sa mga bago na mga female Vivamax [artists]… Hindi ko pa sila nami-meet, hindi ko pa sila kilala.”

(So far, I’ve only worked with Alessandra among the new female Vivamax artists… I haven’t met the others, I don’t know them yet.)
When asked about her edge that stands out from the other newly launched Vivamax artists, Alessandra had this to say:
“Sa tingin ko naman, wala naman, kasi pare-parehas naman kaming magaganda at sexy, at alam ko naman na ibibigay namin yung best namin.”
(I don’t think there’s any, because we are all beautiful and sexy, and I know we will all give our best.)
The film “Nurse Abi” tells the story of a woman for whom one would go to great lengths.
After passing out due to over-fatigue from work, Roy (Vince Rillon) wakes up in the office clinic and finds himself mesmerized by the beauty of the nurse, Nurse Abi (Alessandra Cruz). Roy fell so hard for Nurse Abi that he started fantasizing about her, and even after being well, Roy would make up excuses and even fake illnesses and injuries just so he could spend time with her.
But there is a downside this love that Roy is pursuing. Nurse Abi is set to work abroad and will be leaving soon, so if Roy wants to be with her, he has to confess immediately and act fast, for he is racing with time.
Will Roy be able to declare his feelings for Nurse Abi just before she goes? Or will he be too late, and this will, yet again, just tire him out? Join Roy in his quest to win his nurse’s heart.
Experience the riveting story of “Nurse Abi” on Vivamax, available from June 21, 2024.
