The newest edition of Wish Date, entitled ‘Send My Love‘, explores the theme of love versus career. Wish Date, a concept by Wish 107.5 and KDR Music House, aims to leave a lasting impact on people while promoting and strengthening Original Pilipino Music (OPM). This innovative event combines a concert, a short film, and live theater, captivating audiences from various walks of life.
Held at the Araneta Coliseum on June 30, this 13th edition opened with a heavenly song by the Wish Chorale. This was followed by the narration of Dr. Clark, voiced by Kuya Daniel Razon, in the form of a sent letter.
The interspersed film featured Allen Dizon, Karen Timbol, Mark Ian Garcia, Lloyd Garcia, and Kira Balinger, with a special appearance by Kate Yalung. Between film clips and narration, live performances provided the crowd with a unique concert experience.
Here are some snaps from the event in which CinemaBravo was invited to cover.
The highlight of the show was the performance by rising singer-songwriter Maki. His hit song “Dilaw” has topped both the #BillboardPHHot100 and #BillboardPHTopPhilippineSongs charts and has been a top song on Spotify in the Philippines.
Maki also performed his songs “Bakit?” and “Saan?”, as well as “Sikulo” with Angela Ken and Nhiko.
This edition also marked the first performance of Letters from June at The Big Dome, debuting their single “Bituin,” the theme song for this edition of Wish Date. This is the first time Wish Date has featured a theme song.
Other featured artists who delivered heartfelt renditions of their songs included Jayda, Jason Dy, and the five-piece pop-rock band Nobita.

The foundation of love starts at home, but will you prioritize the promise to family or continue the joy brought by love? This is the kind of question the short film posed to the audience.
“Whatever happens, it’s you and me… always,” the lead character played by Mark Ian Garcia told Kira Balinger’s character.
Life is indeed full of choices. We take risks. We get hurt. But what matters most is that we learn from everything that happens, as long as it brings happiness.

Kira Balinger showcased her acting prowess as a daughter striving to make her parents proud. Whenever there was an opportunity, she seized it and dedicated her life to it.
Internationally acclaimed and multi-awarded actor Allen Dizon played Kira’s father, who never falls short in supporting his daughter, along with Karen Timbol as her mother. They both showed they love and support in every decision she made, delivering their lines with emotional depth drawn from real-life experiences as parents.
Mark Ian Garcia, a TikTok sensation, made his acting debut here. His character faced many rejections but remains resilient despite the sadness. On the other hand, Lloyd Garcia played a character who has feelings for someone who has other life goals. He showed that in due time, one could achieve their goals and find the right person.
