The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) reinforced its commitment to responsible media consumption by engaging in discussions with Disney Southeast Asia (SEA) executives on February 18. The meeting focused on enhancing parental control measures and ensuring access to age-appropriate content.
MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto-Antonio, Vice Chairperson Atty. Paulino Cases, Jr., Executive Director II Roberto Diciembre, and Legal Affairs Division Chief Anna Farinah Mindalano met with Disney SEA representatives Shruti Mehta and Vineet Puri, along with Disney Worldwide Vice President for Government Relations Joe Welch. Together, they explored strategies to empower parents and guardians in guiding young viewers toward responsible media consumption.
“As an Agency dedicated to fostering responsible viewing habits, MTRCB recognizes the importance of equipping families with the right tools to navigate today’s digital landscape,” said Sotto-Antonio. “We commend Disney for their commitment to providing safer and more enriching media experiences for children.”
Disney SEA presented their latest parental control tools, designed to help parents manage screen time and ensure a more secure digital environment for their children.
With this collaboration, MTRCB continues to push forward in its mission to protect and empower Filipino viewers.
