Anne Curtis says ‘Yes!!!’ to Bam Aquino’s Senate run

Former Senator and independent candidate Bam Aquino’s senatorial campaign is gaining traction, with endorsements from actress and TV host Anne Curtis, comedian Alex Calleja, and veteran actor Edu Manzano.

Alex took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a screenshot of Bam’s November 9, 2017, press release from the Senate website, which highlighted the Free College Law.

“Bakit si Senator Bam Aquino? Libreng Tuition! Daig pa ang ayuda, kinabukasan ng inyong mga anak ang makikinabang! Pakisama po sa listahan niyo. Salamat,” Alex wrote.

(Why Senator Bam Aquino? Free tuition! Better than financial aid—your children’s future will benefit! Please include him in your list. Thank you.)

Anne further amplified the endorsement by resharing Alex’s post, simply captioning it with an emphatic “Yes!!”—signaling her strong support for Bam’s Senate bid in the upcoming May elections.

Edu also expressed his support by joining the “No. 5” campaign for Bam on his social media account.

“Sama-sama nating isulong ang Libreng Kolehiyo at Siguradong Trabaho para sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino. #5 sa Balota! AQUINO, BAM!,” Edu said in his post.

Aside from her endorsement, actress Bea Binene has taken a more active role in Bam Aquino’s campaign, recently joining Bam’s wife, Timi, in a house-to-house campaign in Cebu City to directly inform voters about the former Senator’s Free College Law and his other advocacies.

Veteran talent manager and entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz also threw his support behind Bam, declaring during his YouTube show, “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update,” that he’s one of his senatorial bets in the upcoming May elections.
