CreaZion Studios, A24’s ‘The Legend of Ochi’ opens same day as US: April 25

During its premiere night on April 21, a mix of parents and fur parents gathered to witness the touching new adventure that follows a girl and an unlikely creature named Ochi. The event celebrated the official launch of the film, which marks the feature-length directorial debut of writer-director Isaiah Saxon.

Produced by acclaimed names in the industry—Jonathan Wang (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Richard Peete (Blue Ruin), and Traci Carlson (Killer Sally)—the film stars Helena Zengel (News of the World, Transamazonia), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Emily Watson (Dune: Prophecy), and Willem Dafoe (Nosferatu, American Psycho).

At the heart of The Legend of Ochi is the powerful message of how humans and animals can connect deeply, even in the absence of spoken language. This theme of non-verbal communication inspired Saxon to build an entirely new world.

As a studio that supports socially relevant storytelling, CreaZion Studios champions narratives that reflect real-world issues. They hope to drive meaningful cultural change—especially in how people treat animals who cannot speak for themselves.

“With A24’s timely release of a family film, we hope that viewers will become more mindful of nature and its creatures. We hope to instill the importance of being better stewards of the Earth,” shared CreaZion Studios CEO RJ Agustin.

On Easter Sunday, CreaZion Studios, in partnership with SM Super Pets Club and Hello Dolly,  hosted a furry fun day with pet owners and their pets. Dr. Czarina Arbis, senior veterinarian at Golden Fur, led a discussion on pawsitive parenting and animal rights advocacy.

“We document what’s happening, and we report it to the proper authorities like our barangays and Local Government Units (LGUs), because they are the ones who have the power. It’s understandable that some may post about abuse on social media, but we hope that people also do their due diligence by reporting it through the proper legal channels too,” said Dr. Arbis.

So join us and step into the world of The Legend of Ochi! Watch it with your whole family or your fellow fur parents this April 25 in major cinemas nationwide!
