Angkasangga eyes two seats in Congress in latest OCTA survey

Angkasangga Partylist is now on track to secure at least two seats in the House of Representatives, following a significant rise in the latest OCTA Research Tugon ng Masa survey.

The survey, conducted from April 20 to 24, showed Angkasangga receiving 2.51% of the national vote—placing 13th overall and well within the threshold for two congressional seats. This marks a notable increase from the April 10–16 survey, where the group garnered 1.98% and was projected to win only one seat.

“We are overwhelmed and deeply grateful for the growing support of our fellow Filipinos,” said Angkasangga Partylist First Nominee George Royeca.

“Patunay lang ito na lumalakas na ang adbokasiya sa hanay ng mga manggagawa at motorcycle riders. Tayo ang magsisilbi nilang boses kapag tayo’y nakarating sa Kongreso,” he added.

(This proves that our advocacy for workers and motorcycle riders is gaining strength. We will be their voice once we reach Congress.)

Among Angkasangga’s advocacies is the integration of motorcycles into the national transport plan, recognizing that thousands of informal workers, tricycle drivers, vendors, and freelancers rely on them for their livelihood.

Mr. Royeca also reiterated Angkasangga’s commitment to championing the rights and welfare of informal workers in Congress. The partylist aims to address urgent issues such as public transportation, job creation, and worker protection.

Angkasangga also supports key labor reforms, including paid sick leave, government-mandated benefits for informal workers, and accident insurance for members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODA).
