Independent senatorial candidate and former Senator Bam Aquino got a major push ahead of the elections, thanks to a public endorsement from the “Unkabogable Star” Vice Ganda.

A video posted on Vice Ganda’s official Facebook page shows the TV host and comedian singing “Bam Bam Bida Bam Bam Bida Bam” while filming herself on a mobile phone.

At one point, Vice Ganda handed the phone to other celebrities such as OPM legend Ogie Alcasid and singer Darren Espanto, who cheerfully joined in singing the chant.

After receiving the phone back, Vice Ganda said, “Ibalik sa Senado ang matino at matalino. Bam Aquino. No. 5 sa balota.”

(Bring back to the Senate someone decent and intelligent. Bam Aquino. No. 5 on the ballot.)

Bam, for his part, thanked Vice Ganda for her support and for using her platform for the Filipino people.

“Maraming salamat sa unkabogable na suporta, Vice Ganda. Salamat sa patuloy na paggamit ng iyong boses at plataporma para tumindig sa tabi ng mga kababayan natin,” Bam said on Facebook.

(Thank you for the unbeatable support, Vice Ganda. Thank you for consistently using your voice and platform to stand by our fellow countrymen.)

“Ang pangako natin sa madlang pipol sa pagbabalik natin sa Senado: magsisipag tayo at tututukan ang mga bagay na tunay na mahahalaga sa buhay ng mga Pilipino. Para sa Libreng Kolehiyo at Siguradong Trabaho, ipanalo natin ang mga Pilipino!” he added.

Vice Ganda joins a growing roster of celebrities endorsing Bam’s senatorial bid, including Piolo Pascual, Dingdong Dantes, and Iza Calzado. Pascual and Calzado even joined Bam’s Metro Manila motorcade over the weekend.
