Following its unforgettable run that moved audiences across the Philippines, San Pedro Calungsod: The Musical is returning to the spotlight with the upcoming launch of its official cast album in May 2025.

The production was originally staged from 2014 to 2016, concluding with a memorable final performance at the Music Museum in February 2020. Now, its timeless message of sacrifice, devotion, and faith will reach listeners around the world through a carefully produced album that captures the musical’s most powerful moments.

Bringing depth and spirit to the recording is celebrated Filipino artist Gerald Santos, who reprises his role as the young saint Pedro Calungsod. Not only does Santos showcase his internationally acclaimed vocals, but he also contributes as one of the musical’s composers.

“I Offer My Life” and “The Journey” are just two of the songs where Santos delivers soul-stirring performances, embodying the passion and purpose behind Calungsod’s mission and martyrdom.

The album showcases 18 meticulously composed tracks written by Antonino Rommel Ramilo, the visionary behind the musical’s libretto and stage direction. His work, alongside Santos’ musical contributions, ensures the album maintains the same intensity and heart that gripped theatergoers during the show’s live run.

Joining Santos are returning cast members from the celebrated 2020 ensemble: Kuya Manzano as Father Diego Luis de San Vitores, Hutch Perales as Matapang, Lablin Layson “Vince” Vicentuan as Choco, Oscarlito JR Baccol as Hirao, and Heidi Arima as Mother. Their performances add rich layers to the narrative, delivering both dramatic and spiritual depth through music.

New additions to the cast album include Donyl Alcantara, Mark Jhonsen Moises Bognot, Jesu Miguel Tan, Maria Krischellei Robles, and Francheska Danielle Delica, whose voices add fresh energy to the production’s legacy.
