Jayda embarks on a new chapter in her career as she officially signs with Viva. In collaboration with Universal Music Group (UMG) Philippines, she enters a publishing and recording deal with Viva Records and a co-management contract with Viva Artists Agency (VAA). This move opens doors for her to take on more film and television roles, land brand endorsements, and continue making music under a label that aligns with her long-term goals.
During her solo press conference held in Quezon City on May 27, 2025, Jayda shared her reasons for choosing Viva.
“Why Viva? Kasi in-acknowledge ko po yung expertise nila. Yun nga, parang sobrang nagswak in terms of sa timeline na gusto kong tahakin po dito po sa career ko po at this point… yung perfect balance ng acting and singing.”
(Why Viva? Because I acknowledge their expertise. It really aligned with the direction I want to take in my career right now—the perfect balance of acting and singing.)
She emphasized that Viva’s track record in handling talents with dual careers was a major factor in her decision.
“And siyempre po, I mean, lalayo pa ba tayo sa track record ng Viva, they’re very good with managing both singer-actresses and multimedia personalities, and that’s exactly where I want to be.”
(Of course, do we really need to look further than Viva’s track record? They’re very good at managing singer-actresses and multimedia personalities, and that’s exactly where I want to be.)
“So, that’s why Viva,” she continued. “And yun nga po, this has been a long time in the making po. It’s so nice na finally nagbunga rin lahat ng mga meeting namin with sina Boss Vic po.”
(So that’s why Viva. This has been a long time in the making. It feels great that all our meetings with Boss Vic have finally paid off.)
Talent runs in Jayda’s blood, being the daughter of music icons Dingdong Avanzado—known as the “Original Prince of Pop”—and the “Phenomenal Diva” Jessa Zaragoza.
She began her entertainment career in 2017 and quickly gained recognition. She became a brand endorser, released her debut EP In My Room in June 2018, joined the variety show ASAP as a regular performer, and mounted her first major digital solo concert titled Jayda in Concert in 2021.
Between 2021 and 2024, Jayda continued her growth as an artist. She released No Way But Up, which served as the official soundtrack for the TV series Teen Clash, where she also made her acting debut. She co-wrote Right Lover, Wrong Time with her father, further showcasing her musical depth.
In 2023, she signed with Republic Records Philippines, a UMG Philippines subsidiary. Her passion and hard work have been recognized through various accolades, including Best Female Recording Artist at the 32nd Awit Awards in 2019 and Female Pop Artist of the Year at the 13th PMPC Star Awards for Music in 2022 for her hit Sana Tayo Na.
Now part of Viva’s roster of multi-talented artists, Jayda is determined to hone her acting abilities while continuing to evolve as a singer-songwriter—solidifying her status as one of the most promising young artists of her generation.
