Brand ambassadors Sanya Lopez and Jenela in Japan offered heartfelt insights on what defines true beauty during a luxury jewelry house’s exclusive 5th anniversary gala held at a hotel in Parañaque on May 27, 2025.
In a quick interview with members of the entertainment media, Sanya and Jenela were joined by Amara Shia CEO Shina Aquino, who stood proudly with the two as they talked about representing the brand and what beauty means to them. Aquino’s presence alongside the ambassadors was one of the evening’s key highlights, emphasizing her personal connection to the brand’s core message of elegance with substance.
When CinemaBravo asked them about their definition of beauty, Sanya shared her belief that inner character matters most.
“For me kasi, ang beauty talaga, hindi naman nakikita talaga—totoo yan, luma na siguro ‘to naririnig, dati n’yo pa naririnig na yung kagandahan naman talaga, hindi lang panlabas.
(For me, beauty isn’t something you just see—this may sound old, something you’ve probably heard before, but I really believe that true beauty comes from within. People may appreciate someone for being physically attractive, but inner goodness stands out even more. When someone’s character isn’t good, others’ perception of them changes, and that kind of beauty doesn’t last. People love you because of your good heart, not just your looks.)
Jenela echoed her fellow ambassador, adding that beauty is found in one’s values.
“True beauty for me is being kind and being humble po. So, kindness and humility po para sa ‘kin, yun po yung pinakaimportanteng character as a woman… Kumbaga parang sa isang babae po, sobrang nakakaganda po talaga yung character ng kalooban. Katulad po ng sabi ni Ate Sanya, yun po yung pinakaimportante. And nowadays yun na po talaga yung tinitingnan. Kasi lahat po kaya nang ma-enhance e, magpaganda e! So [nagkakatalo] na lang po talaga sa character.”
(For me, true beauty is about being kind and humble. Kindness and humility are the most important traits in a woman. Like Ate Sanya said, character is everything. These days, that’s what people really notice. Anyone can enhance their appearance or look beautiful—but it’s your character that truly makes the difference.)
The elegant, invitation-only affair gathered Amara Shia’s most loyal VIP clients for a night of appreciation and luxury. Guests were treated to curated entertainment, a fine dining experience, and an exclusive preview of the brand’s latest high-end jewelry pieces.
Another announcement during the celebration teased a ₱1,000,000 raffle prize pool to be given away in Amara Shia’s upcoming June live selling events—part of the brand’s extended anniversary celebration to reach its broader online audience.
Marking a bold new chapter, Amara Shia also unveiled two major developments during the gala:
- The upcoming opening of its newest branch in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), which will bring the brand’s signature luxury and personalized service to one of Metro Manila’s most upscale lifestyle districts.
- The official launch of the Amara Shia Production House, a new creative arm focused on content creation, visual storytelling, branding, and elevated client service experiences.
The 5th anniversary celebration not only honored the brand’s journey so far but also set the tone for its continued growth—with CEO Shina Aquino, Sanya Lopez, and Jenela embodying its core values of authenticity, beauty, and innovation.
