Senator Bam Aquino has called on the Senate to proceed with the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, emphasizing that it is part of the chamber’s constitutional responsibility.
He stressed that the Supreme Court, as a co-equal branch of government, must respect the Senate’s authority to carry out its mandate in handling impeachment proceedings.
Sen. Bam Aquino on the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte: “Naniniwala ako na dapat matuloy yung impeachment trial.
Earlier, Senator Bam expressed his readiness to fulfill his role as a senator-judge.
In a separate post, Senator Bam said he has already consulted with lawyers and experts as part of his preparation for the upcoming trial.
