What started as a lighthearted remark from Vice Ganda turned into an unexpected highlight at her Super Divas concert at the Araneta Coliseum with Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, when Senator Bam Aquino gamely showed off his dance moves.
While interacting with the audience during one of her numbers, Vice Ganda spotted Senator Bam and his wife, Timi, among the crowd. She approached them and struck up a conversation.
“Nag-eenjoy po ba kayo?” Vice asked. (Are you enjoying?)
Bam responded, “Yes, enjoy na enjoy. Iyong asawa ko sayaw nang sayaw kanina pa.” (Yes, really enjoying. My wife has been dancing non-stop for a while now.)
Vice replied, “Buti naman po nag-e-enjoy kayo. Tama, paminsan-minsan mag-enjoy kayo dahil ang gulo-gulo niyo doon sa Senado.”
(It’s good that you’re enjoying. That’s right, you should have fun once in a while because things are so chaotic in the Senate.)
She then added with a laugh, “Stressed na stressed kayo doon. Mag-enjoy kayo paminsan-minsan dito, di ba? At dahil diyan sasayaw si Senator Bam.”
(You’re all so stressed there. You should relax here sometimes, right? And because of that, Senator Bam will dance.)
Without hesitation, Vice started singing Gloc-9’s hit Sumayaw Ka! as Senator Bam danced, much to the delight of the audience.
After the event, Senator Bam shared a video of the fun moment on his Facebook page, writing in the caption, “Meme, next time si Misis ko na lang!”
(Meme, next time let my wife do it instead!)
