Kim De Leon, Kim Perez, Mitzi Josh, and John Rex gathered for a media conference held on September 25, 2025, in a designer café restaurant in Quezon City, where CinemaBravo was invited. The Sparkle artists not only performed their newest singles but also shared insights on their music and the stories behind their tracks, offering a glimpse into their craft as singers and storytellers.
Songs for GMA’s ‘Ganito Tayo, Kapuso: Masayahin’ campaign
Part of the spotlight went to the Ganito Tayo, Kapuso: Masayahin values campaign, which follows children immersed in online gaming who rediscover real-world friendships with the guidance of their parents. To accompany its message, three official soundtracks were introduced: “Ikaw Na Lang Ang Kulang,” “Basta’t Magkasama Tayo,” and “Atin ang Mundo.”
Mitzi Josh performed Ikaw Na Lang Ang Kulang, composed by Ann Margaret Figueroa, a heartfelt song that conveys the longing for authentic human connection and the joy of finding happiness in others.
The track Basta’t Magkasama Tayo featured a spirited collaboration among Kim de Leon, Seb Pajarillo, and Mitzi Josh. Written by Figueroa and Joshua Gapasin, it celebrates the warmth of friendship and the happiness it brings.
The collaboration continued with Atin ang Mundo, performed by Kim de Leon and Seb Pajarillo. With music by Figueroa and Kenneth Job Reodica and mixing by Andrea Rae Culla, the song stands as an empowering anthem about reclaiming life through shared experiences.
Sparkle ballads highlight stories of love and regret
During the event, Sparkle singers also showcased emotional ballads outside of the campaign soundtracks.
John Rex, The Clash 2023 Grand Winner, lent his strong vocals to Kahit Wala Nang Tayo, theme song of the GMA Afternoon Prime series Cruz vs. Cruz. Written by Roxanne E. Fabian and mixed by Harry A. Bernardino, the ballad portrays the grief of Neil Ryan Sese’s character Manuel, who struggles with guilt and sorrow after betraying his wife. Despite the heartbreak, the lyrics reflect lingering love that persists beyond broken trust.
Meanwhile, Kim Perez made an impression with Huling Hinto. Composed by Rina Mercado and arranged by Roxanne E. Fabian, this rock ballad addresses the painful end of a relationship—when all that remains is a plea for honesty. Perez’s raw delivery underscores the sincerity of the song’s message.
All five singles were produced by Rocky S. Gacho under GMA Playlist. Fans can now listen to the tracks worldwide across digital music platforms.
