NDMstudios officially introduced its newest gritty and genre-bending project, Redband Anthology, led by award-winning filmmaker Carlo Alvarez. The launch took place during the annual NDM Expo held in Singapore on October 25, 2025.

Bringing in fresh faces to the spotlight, the anthology stars emerging talents such as Beverly Benny, Hilary Vergara, Rechelle Smith, Marco Aguila, Zuher Bautista, Drew Luis, Vas Palacay, and Katrina Yap, among others. Executives from NDMstudios who were in attendance expressed how proud they were of this latest achievement for Direk Carlo.

According to him, the series is composed of separate narratives, each with its own daring approach. He describes Redband Anthology as a lineup of distinctive and edgy stories that confront mature subjects — including sexuality and crime — without hesitation. Some episodes were filmed across diverse settings such as Hong Kong, Indonesia, and the Philippines, further expanding the show’s creative boundaries. He also emphasized their team’s dedication to developing the project, hoping viewers will connect with the themes and reflect on the human experience.

Now available for streaming on NDM+, Redband Anthology is produced under the NDM Original banner. Direk Nijel de Mesa serves as executive producer, while Ms. Jan Christine takes on the role of supervising producer. Direk Carlo shared their team’s enthusiasm for continuing to produce powerful stories and potentially explore even more varied genres moving forward.
