FlipTop LIVE confirmed that its Manila concert—featuring Gloc-9, Loonie, and US-based hip-hop artist Bambu De Pistola with DJ Phatrick—will proceed as scheduled this Saturday, November 8. The update was announced shortly before 10 PM on November 3, 2025.
However, the Cebu leg originally set for November 7 has been postponed due to the approaching tropical cyclone Tino.
Anygma expressed his sadness through a Facebook post, “Hay… unang beses ko ‘ata gagawin ito pero… Kinalulungkot naming ianunsiyo na kailangan naming i-postpone sa ngayon ang FlipTop LIVE in Cebu. Sorry jud mga bai.”
(This might be the first time I’ll have to do this, but we regret to announce that we need to postpone FlipTop LIVE in Cebu for now. Sorry, guys.)
He shared that the decision was made collectively by the team. “Siyempre hindi ‘to madali para sa akin at amin. Sakit sa damdamin, ulo, bulsa… Pero napagsangayunan namin ng staff, local coordinators, pati na rin ng mga artist at management na masyadong delikado na ‘yung sitwasyon sa parating na bagyo sa Cebu.”
(Of course this is not easy for me and for us. It hurts emotionally, mentally, and financially… But the staff, local coordinators, as well as the artists and management agreed that the situation in Cebu with the incoming storm is too dangerous.)
Despite the postponement of the Cebu show, the Manila event remains set to deliver one of FlipTop’s biggest live performances this year.
As of the evening of November 3, Signal No. 4 was up in Cebu, and the province was expected to experience strong winds of up to 118 to 184 kilometers per hour. Although the forecast predicted better weather on Friday, November 7, the organizers did not feel it would be right to perform in the aftermath of typhoon Tino.
Anygma said, “Hindi biro ang pagdadaanan nila at ng Visayas ngayon, at kung pipilitin pa namin ay insensitibo nang tumuloy sa kasiyahan at tugtugan, habang maraming apektado at mahihirapang makabangon.”
(It will not be easy for them and for the Visayas in the coming days, and if we push through, it would be insensitive to continue with the celebration and music while many will be affected and will struggle to recover.)
He assured that Cebu ticket buyers would be refunded, but requested for some time to set up the refund system while he and fellow organizers prepare for the FlipTop Manila event. Anygma also said that the FlipTop Cebu ticket can be used as entrance for FlipTop’s “Ahon” event should the buyer opt to do so.
He disclosed that Bambu is willing to make it up for the fans in the Queen City of the South. Addressing the hiphop community in Cebu, Anygma said, “Sabi rin ni Kuya Bam, game na game siyang makabawi sa Cebu, at kahit iba pang lugar sa susunod. Sana mabuo ulit namin yung once in a lifetime na line up na yun para sa inyo, o di kaya madagdagan pa. Pasensya ulit Cebu, salamat sa pagunawa…”
(Kuya Bam also said he is very eager to make it up to Cebu, and even in other places next time. We hope we can put together that once-in-a-lifetime lineup again for you, or even add more. Sorry again, Cebu, and thank you for understanding.)
Anygma assured that the show would go on in Manila on November 8, Saturday, with king of rhymes Loonie, OG hitmaker Gloc-9, US-based music activist Bambu De Pistola, KJah, DJ Phatrick and DJ Supreme Fist at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig. Undefeated battle emcee and 2017 Isabuhay Champion Mhot, Filipino HipHop legends Kemikal Ali and DJ Arbie Won, and Muntinlupa’s finest DJ Nicko, complete the lineup.
Tickets are available through online reservation via the FlipTop Battle League Facebook page, and in-store at Baraks in Mandaluyong City.
