Pop rock band InnerVoices welcomes the Christmas season with the release of their latest Yuletide single, Pasko’y Muling Darating, under UMG Philippines—marking the group’s 12th track for the year. The song, described as a warm reminder of hope and renewal, dropped just in time for the holidays.
During their December 4 press conference in Makati, which CinemaBravo was invited to attend, keyboardist and founding member Rey Roland Bergado shared what the band is grateful for after a challenging year.
“Sobrang nagpapasalamat ako na we’re still here, kasi 2025 was very challenging for us. We had major change. Of course, bago yung singer namin; he just came in last April. And we went through some pains and challenges. Kasi siyempre mahirap yon, ‘no? [Yung] magpalit kayo ng frontman. And we had to re-organize the band, reconfigure the band to answer yung mga trend ngayon. And, ayon! Sobrang pasalamat ko dahil we’re still here in front of you and we’re still making music.“
(“’m very thankful that we’re still here. 2025 was very challenging for us. We experienced major changes, including welcoming our new singer who joined last April. We went through pains and challenges because it’s difficult to change frontmen. We needed to reorganize and reconfigure the band to adapt to current trends. So yes, I’m truly grateful that we’re still here in front of you and still making music.)
The group is composed of Bergado alongside Patrick Marcelino (vocals), Joseph Cruz (keyboards), Rene Tecson (guitars), Alvin Herbon (bass), and Jojo Esparrago (drums).
Looking ahead to a more promising 2026, Bergado also shared their excitement for what’s next: “Magre-release kami ng mas magaganda pang mga kanta. We believe na yung ilalabas namin… ikinasaya namin e, so we hope na mas magugustuhan ng mga makikinig.“
(We’ll be releasing even better songs. We believe in what we’re preparing, and they make us happy, so we hope listeners will love them even more.)
Pasko’y Muling Darating is now available across major digital platforms. The track serves as a gentle reminder that hope always finds its way back, especially after a difficult year. Written and composed by Bergado, the song opens with the quiet stillness of a cold night—one filled with heaviness, tears, and a longing for joy—before slowly guiding listeners toward renewed warmth and light. Its lyrics unfold like a quiet prayer, affirming that after every storm, dawn inevitably returns.
Arranged by Edward Mitra, the composition showcases InnerVoices’ emotional depth and classic Filipino Christmas sensibility. The band delivers a heartfelt performance that carries the song’s message of resilience and soft optimism.
Reflecting on its meaning, Bergado shared the heart behind the piece:
“Christmas, for many of us, is a season of healing. ‘Pasko’y Muling Darating’ is our reminder that even in the darkest nights, hope still returns. Lahat naman tayo dumadaan sa lungkot, pero sa kabila nun, dapat pa din nating ipagdiwang ang Kapaskuhan.“
(Christmas, for many of us, is a season of healing. ‘Pasko’y Muling Darating’ is our reminder that even in the darkest nights, hope still returns. We all go through sadness, but despite that, we should still celebrate Christmas.)
The song captures the familiar emotional journey of many Filipinos—carrying the weight of the past year while looking toward new beginnings, feeling hope slowly rekindle, and trusting that love and faith endure.
Lines such as “Kahit pagkatapos ng unos / Ang araw ay sisikat, magliliwanag ang mundo / Pasko’y muling darating / May pag-asang dala sa atin” reflect the comfort and reassurance so many seek during the holidays.
Through this release, InnerVoices invites listeners to take a moment to breathe and remember that Christmas brings its own kind of healing—quiet but steady, returning year after year.
