The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) is inviting creative Filipinos to take part in its newest digital initiative: a TikTok video competition highlighting the organization’s long-standing commitment to education through its “Operation Barrio Schools” project.

FFCCCII President Victor Lim announced the launch of the competition, which is open to the general public. Participants are encouraged to produce engaging and original short-form TikTok videos lasting one to two minutes.

Entries should focus on the theme and impact of the FFCCCII’s flagship civic project, which has donated and constructed more than 6,500 rural public school buildings across the Philippines since the program began in 1961.

“Operation Barrio Schools is a testament to the enduring philanthropy tradition of the Filipino Chinese community in promoting better public education and inclusive national economic development,” said President Victor Lim.

“Through this TikTok competition, we hope to engage the younger generation, raise awareness about this decades-long project, and showcase how these school buildings have become symbols of hope and progress in rural communities.”
