Anna and Elsa venture into The Unknown in Disney’s ‘Frozen 2’

Six years after Disney’s “Frozen” became an absolute phenomenon for kids around the world, the adventure of Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven continues to make headway in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2.”

Directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, the long-awaited sequel sees the animated gang venture out of Arendelle and travel to an ancient forest where they hope to find out the origins of Elsa’s extraordinary powers. “Frozen 2” takes viewers to a tale of discovery where the sisterhood bond of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna is tested, as they brave the land of the unknown together.

“Frozen,” which opened in 2013, is the highest-grossing animated feature ever released with more than $1.27 billion in global box office, two Academy awards, and a medley of hard-hitting soundtrack. Now, Disney brings in a whole new animated spectacle that fans of all ages will love with the much-anticipated theatrical release of “Frozen 2.” In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.

The all-new story takes place three years after the conclusion of the first movie, but according to its filmmakers, there is an underlying detail that ultimately leads to a great adventure — one that will bring clarity to everything we know about these beloved characters.

EPIC STORY – In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2,” Queen Iduna (voice of Evan Rachel Wood) and King Agnarr (voice of Alfred Molina) share an epic story with Young Anna (voice of Hadley Gannaway) and Young Elsa (voice Mattea Conforti) about an enchanted forest and the potential danger that lingers. “Frozen 2” is now showing in PH cinemas. © 2019 Disney. Says director Jennifer Lee, who also penned the screenplay, “Elsa hears a voice calling that no one else can hear. She tries to block it, but it won’t stop. It shows her pieces of the past. It promises answers about why she is the way she is, so it’s both epic and a mystery, and she’s compelled to find that voice.” “’Frozen 2’ is even bigger and more epic than the first,” says film director Chris Buck. “But most importantly, the end of ‘Frozen’ and “Frozen 2” work together to form one complete story,” he added.

Fans are also in for a melodic treat as “Frozen 2 “showcases an all-new original soundtrack that complement the epic and heartwarming story. Written by no other than Oscar®-awarded Filipino-American songwriter, Robert Lopez with wife, Kristen Lopez, and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad – the seven new tracks in the line-up are expected to hit the viewers’ hearts right from the beginning. Other artists on the soundtrack also include Kacey Musgraves with “All is Found,” Weezer with “Lost in the Woods,” and Panic! At the Disco with “Into the Unknown,” to name some.
