Who’s the great pretender? ‘Catch Me Out Philippines’ premieres Feb 6 on GMA

Saturday nights are bound to be more exciting as a new reality talent competition premieres on GMA Network’s primetime block. Catch Me Out Philippines, a popular original format from the United Kingdom, has been franchised by the local network as it promises to give Pinoy flavor to this one-of-a-kind game show.

Starting February 6, Catch Me Out Philippines airs at 7:15 PM on Sabado Star Power sa Gabi. It is hosted by no other than the beloved veteran comedian Jose Manalo, who has previously been one of the judges of the latest season of StarStruck (which aired on weekend nights as well). Kakai Bautista and Derrick Monasterio also join the show as Celebrity Spotters. They will go along with ten Celebrity Catchers every episode whose task is to catch who among the performers is the true amateur.

Catch Me Out PH is the first Asian franchise of the British format. Every week, the show follows two amateur contestans who will each perform alongside three professionals. Prior to their performance on stage, the amateurs have already gone through weeks of intensive practice and training. Their goal is to trick the audience, along with the Celebrity Catchers, that they are the actual experts among their respective groups. The impostor who is able to get the most votes from the audience wins 100,000 pesos in cash for being the great pretender of the episode.

Directed by Rico Gutierrez, Catch Me Out PH is set to surprise audiences with spectacular performances and let everyone guess who is the amateur. The show also airs abroad through GMA Pinoy TV starting February 7.
