Three international blockbuster hits are premiering exclusively on Viva’s own streaming platform, Vivamax, this May. Save these dates for two mind-blowing action movies: “Deliver Us from Evil” and “Rambo: Last Blood” as well as the heartwarming musical drama, “The Box.”
“Deliver Us From Evil” (May 20, 2021)
Available for streaming starting May 20, 2021, “Deliver Us from Evil” stars two of South Korea’s most popular and award-winning actors, Hwang Jung-min (Ode To My Father, A Violent Prosecutor) and Lee Jung-jae (The Housemaid, The Thieves). This action crime thriller holds an astounding record of reaching more than 2 million moviegoers in just five days since its initial release on August 5, 2020.
In this action-packed and award-winning thriller, Kim In-nam played by Hwang Jung-min is an assassin who goes to Thailand after being framed for a kidnapping and finds himself chased by Ray, played by Lee Jung-jae, who is avenging the death of his sibling.
Directed by Hong Won-chan (Office), “Deliver Us From Evil” made use of four languages: Korean, Thai, English, and Japanese. It was named one of the Ten Best Films of The Year at Korean Association of Film Critics Awards (2020).
“Rambo: Last Blood” (May 21, 2021)
The thrill and the gore continue in “Rambo: Last Blood,” the second Vivamax exclusive offering premiering on May 21st.
Hollywood action legend Sylvester Stallone reprises his role as US Army veteran John Rambo in this fifth “Rambo” movie. The other four films that complete the Rambo franchise are “Rambo: First Blood” (1982), “Rambo: First Blood Part II” (1985), “Rambo III” (1988), and “Rambo” (2008). In this action thriller movie, Rambo flies to Mexico to save his friend’s granddaughter, Gabriela who has been kidnapped by a drug cartel and forced into prostitution.
Filled with jaw-dropping scenes where Rambo makes use of his lethal “Heartstopper” knife and his iconic bow and arrow, “Rambo: Last Blood”, directed by Adrian Grunberg (director of several episodes of Narcos and Get The Gringo), is that kind of action flick that will leave a lasting impact.

“The Box” (March 24, 2021)
Last but not the least in Vivamax May exclusives is “The Box” which can be streamed starting May 27, 2021, only two months after it was shown in Korea. Last March 24, 2021, the day of its release, “The Box” ranked number 1 in the Korea Daily Box Office Chart.
Top-billed by Park Chan-yeol, Korean Superstar from the popular band EXO, and established actor Cho Dal-hwan (Secret Healer, Traffickers, The Con Artists), “The Box” is an incredible story of two men whose love for music takes them to different parts of Korea.
The avid Pinoy fans of Chan-yeol might fall in love with him even more for his passionate acting and his sweet and unique husky voice, and showcasing his prowess in playing drums and guitar. Fun fact: Chan-yeol wrote the lyrics for “Break Your Box”, which is part of the soundtrack.
