FEATURE: Oriental Mindoro launches tourism app, website

Oriental Mindoro takes pride in being a tropical paradise on the island with its unspoiled, natural beauty. Imagine experiencing white sand beaches, clear blue waters, coral reefs in various colors, cool rushing rivers, hidden waterfalls, and lush green forests—all of which can be discovered and explored in the majestic island destination that is Oriental Mindoro.

There’s no stopping the province to rise in the midst of the pandemic as it launches a tourism app and website called Travel Oriental Mindoro Mobile Application and Website. This is done in an effort to revive and bring new life to the tourism industry of Oriental Mindoro — which is undoubtedly struck by the effects of lockdowns and travel restrictions.

Good enough, the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) has joined forces with the Department of Tourism (DOT) Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) for this much-anticipated launch.

Powered by ITDC Systems Development Services, this digital innovation serves as an easy-to-use platform that will allow users to find up-to-date information on their favorite tourist attractions in the province. It will be the tourists’ official travel companion in Oriental Mindoro as it will also provide access to verified information and the latest travel advisories.

The app is a one-stop solution for travel needs where all the things you need to know about the province to make your next trip more convenient and memorable is just a click away. Travel Oriental Mindoro will help one to know more about the history of the towns, discover captivating destinations, find interesting shops, explore world-class dive spots, experience local food, and scout for accommodations.

Users can personalize their experience and submit comments and reviews after signing up on the app or website through Google or Facebook accounts.

The long wait is almost over as the mobile application as well as the website will simultaneously be launched on Thursday, July 8. The hospitable residents of the province will face local tourism stakeholders and the travel trade sector.

Experience the beauty and wonders of Oriental Mindoro by visiting their website at www.travelorientalmindoro.ph.
