There’s no stopping Vince Rillon! With at least seven movies to be shown in the early part of 2022, this 23-year-old Filipino actor has emerged to be one of the most serious to rise and continue to evolve in the local movie landscape. His upcoming projects include movies like Siklo, Sisid, Pula, Bigwas, Iskandalo, L, and another with the working concept for Bilibid Boys.

His first foray into acting was in Isabel Huppert- starred film Captive (2012), which competed in Berlin and was directed by Brillante Mendoza. He was also in Cannes 2016 winner Ma’ Rosa and in Mindanao, which won at Cairo international Film Festival (2019).

He starred in top international streaming platform Netflix’s Amo (2017), and HBO Asia’s Gensan Punch (2021), which bagged the Kim Jiseok Award in Busan International Film Festival.

His versatility as a character actor can be observed in the way he easily shifts between independent and mainstream type of acting, and performing unique roles. Rillon has also appeared in international festival films such as Brillante Mendoza’s Resbak (2021) and Daniel Palacio’s Brokers (2021), while on television, he was a part of Philippines’ top-rated action series Ang Probinsyano with Coco Martin, and also played a role in the latter’s action-comedy film 3pol Trobol, a 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival entry. He has also worked with directors such as Joel Lamangan, Louie Ignacio and Adolf Alix Jr.

Watch out for Vince Rillon in Vivamax’s first offering in 2022: the newly finished sexy cult crime thriller Siklo, where he is paired with Christine Bermas. This will be followed by Iskandalo and L. He is also with Bilibid Boys (working title) with a concept that will put him together with Sean De Guzman, Karl Aquino from StarStruck, Marco Gomez, and Paolo Gumabao. All of these mentioned films are under the helm of Roman Perez, Jr.

Rillon is also in Brillante Mendoza’s upcoming tender BL (boys’ love) film Sisid with Paolo Gumabao and Kylie Verzosa, as well as in the thriller-drama film Pula where he stars alongside Coco Martin and Julia Montes — also under Direk Dante. Lastly, he is part of Bigwas which is about underground fighting.
