Maja Salvador, ‘Majestic Superstar,’ remains Kapatid with new projects with Cignal, TV5

Multi-hyphenated Maja Salvador gets a new title as the ‘Majestic Superstar’ — proving that there is more than a name for the prime star. She signs up anew with Cignal Entertainment, for a partnership that features a lot of firsts in the new phase of her career as TV5’s prime star. This will be an opportunity for the top-tier actress to show the world that she is indeed her generation’s finest screen gem.

For one, Maja is preparing for the grand finale of her record-breaking primetime series, Niña Niño, which recently celebrated its first anniversary as the most-watched primetime program produced by Cignal Entertainment. Recognized internationally, the show bagged top plums at the prestigious 2021 Asian Academy Creative Awards. Niña Niño was hailed as Best Drama Series and Maja was named Best Actress of the Year by the international award giving institution.

Niña Niño also joined Netflix Philippines’ roster in December 2021 and instantly became one of the most streamed Netflix programs, remaining on the Top 10 list several weeks after it was launched. As the show approaches its riveting season finale in the coming weeks, expect no less than a heart-tugging ending to the inspiring story of Niña (Maja) and Niño (Noel Comia Jr.) and the whole community of Sitio Sta. Ynez whom viewers have grown to love.

Even before Niña Niño closes, Cignal and TV5 have lined up new projects for Maja, marking many firsts for the all-rounder star. Among these is her first-ever sitcom that’s guaranteed to show her versatility and comedic prowess as witnessed in Niña Niño. It will also be her first time to venture into line production of a television program as the CEO of her own entertainment firm, Crown Artist Management. Moreover, a new TV series whose production will start soon will be Maja’s first pursuit towards a very exciting genre with an extremely challenging new role. Finally, another potential first for the Majestic Superstar is her future partnership for film projects with Cignal Entertainment.

In a contract signing and grand press event held at the TV5 Studio on April 5, Maja officially sealed new project deals with Cignal Entertainment and TV5, in the presence of Cignal and TV5 President and CEO Robert P. Galang, with Crown Artist Management Chief Executive Officer Rambo N. Ortega and Chief Operating Officer Mikki Gonzalez.

“Maja Salvador’s versatility as an actress, host, judge, and overall performer has made her a perfect fit for all the projects she has done for and with the Network in the past year. We are honored and proud of all her achievements and we look forward to seeing her transform yet again as she reinvents herself in the upcoming projects that she will be doing with us soon,” Galang shared.

Maja’s upcoming ventures will undoubtedly excite fans, but for now, they can watch the award-winning series Niña Niño, which airs on TV5 every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after Sing Galing and before FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
