Pioneering Filipino pride movement Yabang Pinoy is celebrating its 17th year with the return of its flagship program in filmmaking in general: the 5th Philippine Cinema Sessions is happening online this September to tackle the current state of Philippine Cinema.

The program will run in four (4) consecutive Fridays of September (September 9, 16, 23, 30), from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Yabang Pinoy Facebook Live. This is a free event and is open to the public.

Following a virtual roundtable discussion format, the program will focus on some of the topics that have never been explored in the past, such as strategies of getting people back to theaters, the unfiltered process in making erotic and sexy films, the formula of rom- com movies, and cinematography in Philippine Cinema.

Each session will be facilitated by a Yabang Piny volunteer and advocate and will flesh out insights from some of the panelists such as Jose Javier Reyes, Roman Perez Jr., and Rain Yamson Il, to name a few.
