Kapuso soul balladeer and ‘The Clash’ Season 1 alum Garrett Bolden is set to release debut album under GMA Music this January 27.
This extended play (EP) album titled “Chapters” includes his previous singles and its carrier single “Ikaw Pala,” which is his revival of Kris Lawrence’s song of the same title.
On having his own concert, he explained during his virtual media conference that it is part of his plans. However, he wants to pursue something different.
“May type of show na gusto akong ma-achieve: I would like to have a mini-concert pero iba-ibang lugar… parang tour. Like in the 90’s na same show pero iba-ibang cities. Gusto kong i-try yung gano’ng concert feels na ako yung lalapit sa tao to share my music and songs that I have.”

After being part of Miss Saigon, where he portrayed an American GI named John Thomas, he is also auditioning in other musicals and theater productions.
On another hand, he also looks forward to acting on television.
“Hopeful tayo and also dreaming… I’m preparing myself. Gusto rin nating masubukang umarte at magteleserye,” he shared. “Gusto ko ring mag-explore ng ibang genre [sa music].”
He is currently seen as a mainstay of GMA Network’s flagship weekend variety show ‘All-Out Sundays.’
Two of the songs from the EP are his own compositions:
- ‘Our Love’ (theme song of the now-defunct teleserye ‘I Left My Heart in Sorsogon’), and
- Pwede Pa Ba (theme song of the Thai series, ‘Bad Romeo,’ which currently airs on the network).
The other two songs won awards for Garrett:
- 11th PMPC Star Awards for Music, New Male Recording Artist for ‘Lilipad Na’
- 2020 – 33rd Awit Awards, People’s Choice for New Male Artist for ‘Handa Na Maghintay’
- 2021 – 12th PMPC Star Awards For Music – Male Pop Recording Artist for ‘Handa Na Maghintay’
#ChaptersGarrettBolden is now available for pre-selling on iTunes and out in music platforms tomorrow, January 27.
