‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ review: Impressively fun-filled

‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves‘ tells the story of a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers who undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.

The film magically stands out from other fantasy films thanks to its gags. The creativity and fun of the game are equally captivating. It all feels like a game night with your closest friends but on the big screen. It’s like a mash-up fantasy genre — Imagine ‘The Lord of the Rings’ meets ‘Game of Thrones’ meets ‘Star Wars’ meets ‘Harry Potter’ — among other titles rolled into one fun-filled adventure.

Sophia Lillis plays Doric, Justice Smith plays Simon and Michelle Rodriguez plays Holga in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves from Paramount Pictures and eOne.

Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez are worth rooting for as Edgin and Holga, respectively. On another hand, Justice Smith and Sophia Lillis are pleasant additions to the lovable duo. Their performances are charming, tough, and funny.

With its strong cast, stunning visual effects, and a decent storyline, ‘D&D: Honor Among Thieves’ is a brilliant adaptation and a wildly entertaining film that everyone — and not just fans of the role-playing game — could easily enjoy.

Catch this exciting new film on the big screen — now playing in Philippine theaters.
