Realizing significant milestones during one’s teenage years can be a remarkable achievement. For Kapuso teen star Sofia Pablo, it wasn’t a difficult feat. At a recent press conference for her debut celebration, she proudly expressed her identity as a “mommy’s girl” and emphasized her commitment to honesty in her relationship with her mother.

“Siguro sa life milestone, I remain to be a proud ‘mommy’s girl.’ I’m proud na never ko siyang sinuway, I never lied to her. Some people may say na ‘Imposibleng hindi ka nagla-lie.’ I’m proud, I never lied to my mom. I always prioritize her.”

“Siguro yung career milestone is yung ‘Love Is: Caught in My Arms,’ kasi it was my first project with Aki na kami lang yung lead. And it was really successful, sa parang do’n namin napakita na we can be the next generation na love team ng GMA. So I’m really proud of ‘Love Is: Caught in My Arms,’ kasi it’s really nice, and I can proudly say na maganda talaga siya.”

“Siguro ngayong I am 18, mas gusto kong mag-explore ng mas challenging na love story with Afie, since yun nga I was young, so parang kahit papa’no iniingatan din na ‘Wag naman masyadong ganyan kasi bata pa si Sofia baka sabihin ng tao, ganyan.’”

Despite her growing success, Sofia remains grounded in her desires for genuine happiness. Her birthday wish is a simple yet profound one: to be genuinely happy, free from negativity.

“Actually, birthday wish ko ‘to every year: I just wish for genuine happiness. Yung talaga walang negativity. Yung talagang happy lang ako.”

“Well actually, yun nga, ang dami nang nagtatanong: ‘Ano ba’ng suot mo?’, ‘Ilang palit?’ Kasi parang they know me na talagang laging paandar sa mga outfit, pero actually all throughout the party, I won’t be changing.”

Upcoming project: ‘Prinsesa ng City Jail’

Looking ahead, Sofia is gearing up for her upcoming Afternoon Prime series ‘Prinsesa ng City Jail,’ where she continues to collaborate with Allen Ansay. This time, their on-screen romance faces challenges from a love triangle involving Will Ashley, adding complexity to their characters’ relationships.

Joining Sofia in ‘Prinsesa ng City Jail’ are Beauty Gonzalez (who will play the role of her mother), Radson Flores, Lauren King, Joyce Ching, Ina Feleo, Dominic Ochoa, Al Tantay, Minnie Aguilar, Ayen Munji-Laurel, Keempee De Leon, and Denise Laurel, under the direction of Jerry Lopez Sineneng.
