“We’re gonna determine a champion in District 1 [and] District 2, and then doon made-determine pag naglaban na sila…”
In another statement, he said, “We are excited to bring back this prestigious event and continue our mission of promoting grassroots basketball development. Our collaboration strengthens our ability to create a competitive yet inclusive environment for all participating barangays.”
The tournament will feature teams from various barangays of Parañaque, battling for the coveted Kings of Parañaque title. The games will run from January 2025 to March 2025 at key sports venues across the city. Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez expressed full support for the initiative.
“Basketball has always been a unifying force in our community. Events like this highlight the talent and passion of our youth while promoting sportsmanship and community pride.”
During the press conference, organizers unveiled the official tournament logo, schedule, and game format. A ceremonial ball toss by city officials and organizers marked the symbolic start of the tournament season.
