Moviegoers finally got their first sneak peek at the upcoming Street Fighter live-action film during a surprise moment at The Game Awards in Los Angeles on December 11. The cast appeared onstage to debut an exclusive teaser video, along with first-look photos of all 17 iconic characters from the beloved CAPCOM franchise.

The film’s stars in attendance included Noah Centineo (Ken), Andrew Koji (Ryu), Callina Liang (Chun-Li), Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoai (Akuma), David Dastmalchian (M. Bison), Cody Rhodes (Guile), Andrew Schulz (Dan), Vidyut Jammwal (Dhalsim), Orville Peck (Vega), Olivier Richters (Zangief), Rayna Vallandingham (Juli), Mel Jarnson (Cammy) and Jason Momoa (Blanka/Producer).

#StreetFighter is set to open exclusively in cinemas in 2026.

Synopsis:

Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film promises to showcase the franchise’s trademark action — from Hadoukens and roundhouse kicks to appearances from fan-favorite fighters — as it brings the world of Street Fighter from arcade screens to cinemas across the globe. The project is presented by Paramount Pictures and Legendary Pictures, in association with Capcom.
