Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto administered the oath of office to the newly elected officers and members of the Multi-Media Press Society of the Philippines, Inc. (MMPRESS) in a recent ceremony on April 22.
The organization is composed of both veteran and emerging entertainment writers and columnists working across print and digital platforms. It was previously known as the Entertainment Press Society of the Philippines, Inc. (ENPRESS), with the rebranding signaling its shift toward a broader, more modern approach to entertainment journalism in response to the changing media landscape.
The new set of officers and members of the Multi-Media Press Society of the Philippines, Inc. (MMPRESS) recently held their official oath-taking ceremony before Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.
Composed of veteran and contemporary entertainment writers and columnists across print and digital platforms, the group was formerly known as the Entertainment Press Society of the Philippines, Inc. (ENPRESS). The rebranding reflects the evolving landscape of entertainment reporting and writing.
MMPRESS continues to evolve. While it still recognizes outstanding work in film and television, the organization is also strengthening its digital presence by building an engaged community across social media. Its mission now extends to advocacy efforts in education, health, sports, and the environment.
At its core, the group aims to reconnect entertainment writers with their craft. MMPRESS encourages its members to take pride in their role, uphold strong principles, and use their voice to help elevate the industry. It also seeks to spark meaningful conversations, address key issues, and take a stand when necessary.

Following the ceremony, MMPRESS celebrated at Locavore Restaurant, where the group enjoyed the venue’s warm hospitality, along with its food and drinks.
Looking ahead, MMPRESS is currently preparing for the much-anticipated Dekada Awards for Film, alongside the return of its flagship Golden Screen Awards.
These initiatives signal MMPRESS’s renewed presence in the entertainment industry. By returning to its foundations and building a stronger, more credible platform, the organization aims to reinforce the role of the entertainment press as both a creative and critical partner in the industry’s growth and development.
