Heart Evangelista’s ‘Closet Party’ draws massive crowds, quickly sells out across two-day run

Heart Evangelista’s “Closet Party,” held on April 27 and 28, drew large crowds, with fans and shoppers turning up early for a chance to score both pre-loved and brand-new pieces from the fashion icon’s wardrobe.

As early as before 10 a.m. on Saturday, long lines had already formed outside the venue, with some attendees traveling from different parts of the country just to take part in the shopping event.

The Closet Party featured a curated selection from Heart’s personal collection, along with items from her friends. Shoppers browsed through a mix of high-end luxury pieces and local fashion finds she had previously worn. Prices ranged widely—from as low as P200 to as much as P50,000.

The event followed a well-organized system, with a designated registration area, multiple cashier stations, and clearly arranged sections by category and price. Items were sorted into clothing, bags, shoes, and accessories such as sunglasses, allowing attendees to move through the space more efficiently despite the volume of shoppers.

With the strong turnout, items sold out quickly. Many attendees came prepared, purchasing multiple pieces in one go.

One fan shared that they had traveled all the way from Mindanao just to attend. When they finally got the chance to take a selfie with Heart, they admitted to feeling overwhelmed with excitement.

Another shopper from Antipolo said they arrived early and were pleased with their haul. “Most of what I got were only P200, and some still had tags on them,” they said.

Luxury items, particularly designer bags, were among the fastest to sell out, drawing immediate attention from fashion-forward attendees.

Despite the upscale nature of some pieces, the atmosphere remained lively. Even well-dressed shoppers joined in the familiar “mine” culture, calling dibs and competing for their preferred finds.

At one point, Heart created an impromptu “Styled by Heart” moment, personally arranging select items and engaging with the crowd in a live-selling style interaction that drew strong reactions from attendees.

She remained hands-on throughout the event—checking items, taking selfies with fans, and even signing select purchases—turning the Closet Party into a fan-centered experience as much as a shopping event.

While long lines formed at the cashier due to high demand, the flow remained manageable thanks to multiple payment stations and an experienced team behind the setup. According to someone close to Heart, her team has been organizing similar events for years, previously under the concept of a pre-loved bazaar. The shift to “Closet Party” better reflects the current mix of items, many of which are unused, still tagged, and in original packaging.

Attendees also shared a common piece of advice: if you see something you like, don’t let it go—because chances are, it won’t be there when you come back.
