Protecting the cash cow? Report claims Bea’s inner circle helped derail wedding plans

Showbiz and business circles are buzzing following a report by Bilyonaryo claiming that the canceled wedding plans of Bea Alonzo and Vincent Co were allegedly caused by more than just a prenup agreement.

According to the Bilyonaryo report, insiders or “Babblers” claimed that tensions escalated because of the influence of people close to Bea, specifically Shirley Kuan and Alan German. The report alleged that some within Bea’s circle were concerned that marriage and starting a family could eventually change her priorities and affect her career trajectory.

Since departing Star Magic in November 2020 after nearly two decades, Bea has worked closely with her management team in navigating her career outside her longtime home network. Shirley Kuan and Alan German have since played prominent roles in shaping her post-Star Magic career direction.

Bilyonaryo further reported that both Vincent and Bea apparently wanted to push through with the wedding, but the constant involvement of handlers and advisers in major decisions allegedly became a point of strain. According to the publication, some people around the actress reportedly viewed the possibility of Bea stepping back from showbiz as a financial and professional risk.

The report also noted that after nearly a year away from the spotlight, Bea is now preparing for her television comeback, coinciding with renewed public discussion surrounding the canceled wedding preparations with Vincent Co.

Meanwhile, Bilyonaryo added that Vincent’s side was allegedly surprised by the intense focus on the prenup issue, with sources claiming that such agreements are considered standard financial protection for prominent business families. But according to the report, the real issue may have gone beyond legal documents and finances, extending to the people surrounding the relationship itself and their own interests.
