Tech-CEO Nijel de Mesa launches world’s first AI protection and licensing ecosystem in the Philippines

NDMstudios, headed by Tech-CEO and award-winning filmmaker Nijel de Mesa, officially introduced NDM Verified Doppel on June 4, 2026, at Perfect B Lounge in Quezon City.

Described as the world’s first AI Protection and Licensing Ecosystem, the platform aims to help safeguard celebrities, public figures, and personalities from the growing risks brought by artificial intelligence.

The launch event gathered several personalities from the entertainment industry, including Arci Muñoz, Richard Quan, Krista Miller, Lance Raymundo, Angeli Khang, Fabio Ide, Moymoy Palaboy, Anthony Ocampo, Lovely Rivero, and Alma Concepcion. Business executives, advertising leaders, and other personalities from the media and entertainment sectors also attended the event.

With artificial intelligence continuing to reshape the digital space, NDM Verified Doppel was developed to respond to increasing concerns surrounding AI misuse, particularly involving a person’s identity, likeness, voice, and reputation.

“Everyone’s likeness is already at risk,” said founder Nijel de Mesa. “AI can now replicate faces, voices, and personalities with astonishing accuracy. Deepfakes are spreading across advertisements, pornography, fake news, scams, and social media. If celebrities and public figures don’t control their AI persona, someone else will.”

De Mesa explained that the company was born from a simple but critical question: How can AI create opportunities for artists instead of replacing them?

“The AI revolution is already here. We all have to be on the right side of change. Rather than allowing artists and talents to become victims of technology, we created a system that protects them while opening new revenue opportunities.”

NDM Verified Doppel introduces a dual-structured ecosystem designed to both protect and monetize AI identities.

The first layer focuses on protection. Through proprietary 24/7 AI monitoring technology, the company scans the internet for unauthorized use of an artist’s likeness, voice, image, or AI-generated persona. The system helps detect and flag deepfakes, fake endorsements, impersonation accounts, voice-cloning scams, political manipulation, unauthorized film and television appearances, and AI-generated pornography.

The second layer focuses on licensing. By assigning AI persona rights within a structured and ethical framework, artists can authorize and monetize approved uses of their digital likeness while maintaining control over how it is used.

NDM Verified Doppel is the first agency dedicated exclusively to AI protection and licensing for celebrities and public personalities. The company combines legal protection, monitoring, enforcement, licensing, and commercial deal-making through a growing international network with offices in Central Japan, Singapore, Taipei, Paris, Cannes, and Seville.

What makes the ecosystem unique is its integration with NDMstudios’ AI-generated entertainment platform. Through NDM Plus, which streams AI-generated feature films and original content, artists signed under NDM Verified Doppel gain access to ongoing opportunities for AI-powered creative projects and passive income generation.

The platform also opens celebrity endorsements to a much broader market. Businesses outside Metro Manila — and even overseas Filipino workers and entrepreneurs around the world — can now license approved AI versions of participating artists for marketing campaigns, advertisements, clinics, retail stores, and products.

Applications can be submitted directly through www.ndmplus.com by selecting the “Artists” section, where requests are transmitted directly to the artist or their designated management team for review and approval.

“Our objective is simple,” said NDM Verified Doppel Co-Founder Jan Christine. “We want to protect artists’ reputations, preserve the integrity of their identity, and ensure their rights remain enforceable in the AI era.”

Chief Legal Counsel and Co-Founder Atty. Jiji Jorge emphasized the growing legal gap created by emerging technologies.

“Technology has moved faster than the institutions designed to govern it. For decades, industries have protected intellectual property, trademarks, copyrights, patents, and brands. Yet today, the most valuable asset many individuals possess — their identity — can be copied with a single click.”

“That is why this agency needs to exist. Not because AI is a threat. We believe AI is one of the greatest innovations of our generation. But every great innovation requires responsibility.”

The launch concluded with Co-Founder Anthony Ocampo thanking attendees and reaffirming the company’s vision of using AI as a catalyst for new opportunities, sustainable careers, and passive income for artists and creators.
