While music remains his primary focus, Clyde is also open about his aspirations beyond singing. During a recent pocket press conference, he spoke to CinemaBravo about his love for thriller and mystery stories and the kind of role he hopes to portray someday.
One day, he hopes to challenge himself with a darker character on screen.
“Gusto ko sanang magkaroon ng ganoong role in the future [na] ako yung psycho killer.” (I hope to play a role like that in the future—someone who’s a psycho killer.)
His willingness to explore more complex and unconventional roles is apparent should opportunities in acting come his way. While acting remains an ambition for the future, Clyde is currently focused on establishing himself as a solo recording artist.
Finding inspiration in R&B and acoustic music
Asked about the artists and genres that influence his sound, Clyde shared that his playlist consists largely of acoustic and R&B music, drawing inspiration from both local and international performers.
“Ang hilig ko pong pinapakinggan din at home and at work, anywhere, R&B saka acoustic. Gusto ko yung mga OPM na acoustic. Saka mga R&B na Western. So parang mixed. Sina Michael Pangilinan, KZ Tandingan, Keshi, Lauv, Ed Sheeran.”
(I love listening to R&B and acoustic music whether I’m at home, at work, or anywhere. I enjoy OPM acoustic songs as well as Western R&B music, so it’s a mix. Some of the artists I listen to are Michael Pangilinan, KZ Tandingan, Keshi, Lauv, and Ed Sheeran.)
Drawing inspiration from both Filipino and international artists, Clyde is developing a sound that combines heartfelt storytelling with the emotional appeal of contemporary R&B. And that same sincerity will be obvious in his upcoming single.
Sharing a piece of himself through new music
His still-untitled new single is a love song which he described as deeply personal.
“Para siyang personal story na rin kasi it’s a song that I can totally relate to. So, it’s like sharing a piece of myself to my fans. I hope na ma-appreciate po nila.”

Rather than simply releasing new music, Clyde hopes to create songs that resonate with people and become part of their own experiences.

“Gusto ko lang pong ma-enjoy ng mga tao yung mga music po na gagawin ko, yung mga song na gagawin ko. Gusto ko na they find comfort in my songs, in my music, and me as a person.”

Taking the stage beyond the Philippines
Beyond his recording projects, Clyde is also reaching new milestones in his career. Alongside his work as a digital creator and influencer, he is recently set to join the touring lineup of Beks Battalion, the popular Filipino comedy trio composed of Chad Kinis, MC Muah, and Lassy Marquez.
Widely known for their successful live shows and strong following among Filipino communities around the world, Beks Battalion has become one of the country’s most recognizable comedy acts. For Clyde, becoming part of the group’s tour is both a professional achievement and a valuable learning experience as a live performer.
The opportunity also marks his first major international tour. With scheduled performances across the United States and parts of Europe, Clyde is set to bring his talent to audiences beyond the Philippines while gaining exposure on global stages.
