Senator Bam Aquino marked Father’s Day by accompanying his daughter Rory and her friends to the opening night of P-pop girl group BINI’s Signals World Tour 2026 on Sunday, June 21, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The concert served as the launch of BINI’s much-anticipated global tour, which comes on the heels of the group’s landmark appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. BINI made history there as the first all-Filipino act to perform at the internationally recognized music festival held in Indio, California.
During a meet-and-greet session before the show, Rory gave each BINI member a Kodak Charmera, a miniature digital toy camera packaged in surprise blind boxes. The keychain-sized cameras can be used by the group to document special moments and memories throughout their world tour.
In a Facebook post, Sen. Bam lauded BINI for serving as a source of inspiration and joy to Filipino youth, including his daughters Rory and Coco, who are certified BLOOMs.
“Salamat, BINI sa inspirasyon at saya na ibinibigay ninyo sa napakaraming kabataang Pilipino. Kasama na riyan sina Rory at Coco,” said Sen. Bam, who attended the concert with his wife, Timi.
(Thank you, BINI, for the inspiration and joy that you bring to so many young Filipinos. That includes Rory and Coco.)

Sen. Bam also wished the Nation’s Girl Group success as they embark on a world tour that will take them across the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand following their July 11 concert in Cebu.
“Hangad ko ang inyong tagumpay sa inyong world tour. Patuloy niyong ipagmalaki at ipakita ang galing at talento ng Pilipino sa buong mundo,” he said.
(I wish you success on your world tour. Continue to take pride in and showcase the excellence and talent of Filipinos to the world.)
The eight-member BINI is composed of Maraiah Queen Arceta (Aiah), Ma. Nicolette Vergara (Colet), Mary Loi Yves Ricalde (Maloi), Gweneth Apuli (Gwen), Lindtsey Stacey Aubrey Sevilleja (Stacey), Mikhaela Janna Lim (Mikha), Jhoanna Christine Robles (Jhoanna), and Sheena Mae Catacutan (Sheena).
Sen. Bam filed Senate Resolution No. 370 honoring BINI for their Coachella performance, lauding them for bringing pride and honor to the country and for showcasing Filipino talent and artistry on the global stage.
He also backed the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) plan to tap BINI as tourism ambassadors, saying Filipino artists play a major role in promoting the country’s culture, creativity, and identity on the global stage.
Sen. Bam said groups like BINI can help showcase the best of the Philippines to the world through music and entertainment while inspiring young Filipinos.
“Naniniwala ako na malaking inspirasyon ang BINI sa kabataang Pilipino at magandang pagkakataon din ito para maipakita hindi lang ang talento ng Pilipino, kundi pati ang kultura, creativity, init ng pagtanggap ng mga Pinoy, at ganda ng ating bansa,” Sen. Bam said.
(I believe BINI is a great inspiration to Filipino youth, and this is also a wonderful opportunity to showcase not only Filipino talent, but also our culture, creativity, warm hospitality, and the beauty of our country.)
As a known supporter of Filipino talent, Sen. Bam worked with local artists to highlight Filipino creativity and skills during the 2022 and 2025 election campaigns, and again celebrated Filipino music during the People Power 40 Kick-Off Concert at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
