Celebrating the return of one of the most beloved Filipino television franchises, this time on the big screen, Senator Bam Aquino attended the special screening of Home Along Da Riles Da Reunion in a mall in Pasay City.
Sen. Bam joined members of the movie’s cast — Vandolph Quizon, Boy 2 Quizon, Smokey Manaloto, Gio Alvarez, Maybelyn Dela Cruz, and Dang Cruz — as they relived fond memories of the iconic sitcom and enjoyed the reunion film alongside fans.
“Hindi kumpleto ang pagiging Batang 90s kung hindi ka lumaki sa Home Along Da Riles,” said Sen. Bam, a self-confessed Batang 90s.
He congratulated the cast and production team behind the reunion film, praising their efforts to bring back a story that continues to resonate with audiences decades later.
“Congratulations sa buong cast at production team ng Home Along Da Riles Da Reunion. Salamat sa mga tawa, alaala, at maging sa mga luhang hatid ng kwentong muling nagbigay-buhay sa isang paboritong bahagi ng ating kabataan,” Sen. Bam said.
“Talagang ramdam ang pagmamahal at sipag na inilaan ninyo para sa pelikulang ito,” he added.
The senator also reiterated his full support for the local film industry, emphasizing the importance of championing Filipino stories and creative talent.
“Patuloy nating susuportahan ang Pelikulang Pilipino,” said Sen. Bam, who has been pushing for stronger government support for the country’s creative industry, citing its huge potential to generate more jobs and stimulate economic growth.
According to Sen. Bam, the Philippine creative sector remains one of the country’s greatest strengths and deserves sustained support through adequate funding and a long-term development plan for the industry.
He said stronger support for Filipino creatives, artists, content creators, filmmakers, musicians, and designers would not only create more livelihood and employment opportunities but also showcase Filipino talent on the global stage.
