‘Sa Tamang Oras at Panahon’ brings lessons on honesty, integrity, responsibility to Filipino students

Directed by Neal “Buboy” Tan, the upcoming film “Sa Tamang Oras at Panahon” hopes to connect with Filipino students through special school screenings centered on honesty, integrity, responsible decision-making, and respect for others.

The film is designed to encourage meaningful discussions among students, teachers, and parents by portraying situations that show how being honest can affect relationships, friendships, family life, and the choices people make.

As young people learn to navigate important decisions, understanding the value of telling the truth and taking responsibility for their actions plays an important role in developing them into responsible and trustworthy individuals.

Through a story that students can easily understand, discuss, and reflect on, “Sa Tamang Oras at Panahon” aims to present these values in a relatable way while encouraging young viewers to consider how their choices and actions can affect those around them.

The film emphasizes that honesty is more than simply avoiding lies. It means having the courage to admit mistakes, communicate truthfully, respect other people’s feelings, and accept the consequences of our decisions.

Through the vision of Director Neal “Buboy” Tan, the film hopes to become a useful tool for schools in promoting positive values and encouraging students to reflect on their own choices and relationships.

A Film That Can Start a Conversation

School screenings of “Sa Tamang Oras at Panahon” can provide an opportunity for students and educators to discuss important questions:

Why is honesty important in our everyday lives?
What happens when we hide the truth?
How can we take responsibility for our mistakes?
How does honesty build trust?
When is it difficult to tell the truth, and how can we find the courage to do so?

More than entertainment, “Sa Tamang Oras at Panahon” hopes to inspire students to recognize that their choices matter and that honesty, respect, and integrity are values that can guide them toward better relationships and a better future.

The film is intended to be a meaningful cinematic experience for the school community—a story that entertains, teaches, and encourages young people to choose truth and integrity, even when doing so is difficult.

Led by Kapuso actor Kelvin Miranda, “Sa Tamang Oras at Panahon” also stars James Blanco, Angel Guardian, Ron Angeles, Julio Diaz, popular content creator Bernie Batin among others.

This film was produced under Jojo Matias Jem Productions.
