ELLE Philippines is set to debut in the first quarter of 2027 under House of Yugen, led by President Josh Yugen and CEO and Publisher Ian Borromeo, following a licensing partnership with Lagardère Group, the owner of the global fashion and lifestyle brand.
The publication’s inaugural print issue is scheduled for March 2027, with six issues planned throughout the year. The English-language magazine will also be supported by ELLE.ph, a dedicated website, and social media platforms, with digital activities expected to begin around the release of its first issue.
Connecting Filipino creativity with the world
With a global audience of 260 million, ELLE is recognized as the world’s number one female media brand. Its Philippine edition aims to bring the brand’s international heritage to local audiences while establishing a distinct identity rooted in Filipino creativity and contemporary culture.
ELLE Philippines will cover fashion, beauty, culture, society, and lifestyle, featuring stories that reflect the perspectives and ambitions of contemporary Filipino women. Through this approach, the publication aims to become the Philippines’ leading fashion and lifestyle media brand.
The edition will feature established Filipino figures alongside emerging voices, creating opportunities for designers, photographers, writers, artists and entrepreneurs to contribute to its editorial and cultural platforms.
“ELLE is a global name. Our responsibility is to give it an authentic Filipino voice,” said Josh Yugen. “Our designers, photographers, artists and emerging creatives deserve opportunities for their work to be seen internationally. I want this new chapter to help open those doors.”
“ELLE Philippines should belong to everyone. It should celebrate where we come from, discover where we are going, and give Filipino creativity the platform it deserves on the world stage,” said Ian Borromeo.

Publishing and business leadership
Josh Yugen, founder of XPEDITION Magazine and the executive behind Yugen PR, brings experience spanning journalism, publishing and communications, with ventures connecting Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Ian Borromeo will oversee ELLE Philippines’ business strategy, publishing operations, commercial partnerships and organizational development. His experience at House of Yugen spans luxury, fashion, entertainment and brand communications.
Josh Yugen and Ian Borromeo will work with their team and ELLE International to establish the Philippine edition’s creative and operational foundations, with an emphasis on editorial quality, local relevance and sustainable business development.
Plans for a launch celebration in Manila are under development. Further details regarding editorial leadership, the creative team, official platforms and launch activities will be announced in due course.
