Real-life married couple EA Guzman and Shaira Diaz-Guzman are set to bring their chemistry to the big screen in ‘BUDDY,’ marking their first movie project together as husband and wife. Both are artists under ALV Talent Circuit.
Joining the couple in the family film are veteran actors Michael De Mesa and Benjie Paras, alongside Elisse Joson, Elijah Canlas, and comedian Empoy Marquez. The movie is directed by Lucky Blanco in his directorial debut and produced by MAVX Production.
Filmed entirely in Finland earlier this year, ‘BUDDY’ showcases the country’s breathtaking landscapes in what promises to be a heartwarming cinematic experience for Filipino moviegoers.
The film held its red-carpet premiere on October 27, 2026, at TriNoma.
Beyond their professional commitments, the Finland shoot also became extra special for EA and Shaira as they took the opportunity to celebrate their very first wedding anniversary. It was certainly a memorable milestone, combining work, travel, and a meaningful celebration as newlyweds.
Aside from their upcoming movie, the Guzman couple remain active in the Kapuso Network. EA continues to showcase his comedic talents as part of the country’s longest-running comedy program, Bubble Gang, while Shaira remains one of the regular hosts of the morning show Unang Hirit and the educational program iBilib, alongside Chris Tiu.
With their growing careers in television and film, EA and Shaira continue to demonstrate their versatility as performers while inspiring audiences with their partnership both on and off screen.
Catch EA Guzman and Shaira Diaz-Guzman, together with an exceptional ensemble cast, in “BUDDY,” showing in cinemas nationwide beginning November 4, 2026. The film is rated PG by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
