After its successful run at Sinag Maynila film festival last March 2015 where it won Audience Choice Award, Jim Libiran’s Ninja Party will have its special run at the UPFI Film Center in UP Diliman through the screening of its director’s cut.

In Ninja Party, top female students of an elite Catholic high school discover their identities and sexualities amidst clashing values. Conflicts between themselves, their families, and their school force them to grow up and grow in friendship. They face slutshaming when a rumor spreads about their participation in a secret orgy.

The screenings will be held at Videotheque, UPFI Film Center, UP Diliman on the following dates:

Oct. 5 (Mon) – 2:30 PM / 5:00 PM / 7:00 PM – with forum with the cast and crew
Oct. 6 (Tue) – 2:30 PM / 5:00 PM / 7:00 PM
Oct. 13 (Tue) – 2:30 PM / 5:00 PM / 7:00 PM
Oct. 14 (Wed) – 2:30 PM / 5:00 PM / 7:00 PM
Oct. 21 (Wed) – 2:30 PM / 5:00 PM / 7:00 PM

Ninja Party takes a close look at the found subculture of the youth of today as they live in comfort and among a carefully modernized world. It gives commentary on the dysfunctional lives of its characters which is something way different from the director’s previous features: the Cinemalaya Grand Prize winner Tribu in 2007 and Happyland in 2010.

Seats are limited for each screening. For tickets, contact Jasfer at 0927 899 5144 or Andy at 0916 377 0949.

This event is brought to you by Sinag Maynila, Strawdogs Studio Production, Solar Pictures, and Solar Entertainment Corporation, in partnership with U.P. Cinema and UP Cine Adarna.
