Love is a trip — That’s the tagline of the latest movie offering of Vivamax, Viva’s own streaming platform. In Yam Laranas’ Death of a Girlfriend, AJ Raval and Diego Loyzaga are paired for the first time for a mysterious love trip that is set to bring audiences to uncharted territories, where intimate love would make them think the impossible as possible.

AJ Raval and Diego Loyzaga are no strangers to the entertainment scene. AJ is the daughter of action star Jeric Raval, while Diego is the son of Cesar Montano and Teresa Loyzaga.

During their virtual media conference for their new movie, they both related to CinemaBravo how they handle negative feedback in this time and age of social media, amidst gaining the spotlight for bearing the surnames of their parents.

Coming from the success of Darryl Yap’s Paglaki Ko, Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar which is her first movie, AJ takes every bit of comments as an opportunity to grow (especially with the help of her director who was careful in bringing out the best from her).

She also revealed that she will do the remake of Erik Matti’s erotic film Scorpio Nights 2, which first starred Joyce Jimenez and Albert Martinez in 1999.

In Death of a Girlfriend, a mysterious love story is told by three suspected persons revealing different points-of-view of a brutal crime.

When Christine (AJ Raval) did not show up to her usual walk to school, her boyfriend Alonzo (Diego Loyzaga) becomes worried and realizes that something is not right. He sees two suspicious people running out of the woods, and Alonzo immediately reports them to the police.

The two prime suspects – a forest ranger, and a drug-dealing farmer, are interrogated by the police for the rape and murder of Christine.

They will tell their side of the story up to the events that lead to the discovery of Christine’s body in the woods. The police will also interrogate Alonzo about his relationship with Christine, and how the two suspects always get in their way.

One of them is lying, one of them is covering the truth, and one of them is making up stories. And the only one who can tell the truth and what really happened on that day in the woods is Christine. She will tell the truth through forensic investigations. She will tell the real story.
