On the enchanting Friday night past Valentine’s Day, the Araneta Coliseum, fondly known as the ‘Big Dome’ for its grand productions, reverberated with music, cheers, and positive vibes with the staging of ‘Wish Dates: Tides.’
In a remarkable first for the series this year, the show held on February 16, 2024, captivated the audience, seamlessly blending music, film, and theatre for its 11th edition. Rows of diverse fans and music aficionados were not just spectators but engaged participants — laughing, singing along, and sharing the love and drama on the big screen.
Enchanting live performances were provided by a good roster of talents: OPM icon Joey Albert, premier vocal group The CompanY, rising star Hakki, 2023 P-pop Indie Artist of the Year Esay, and more joined the journey through the ebb and flow of life.

The talented ensemble of actors who breathed life to relatable characters on the big screen includes award-winning actor Junjun Quintana, Mary Joy Apostol, Lienel Navidad, and Iyannah Sumalpong. Directed by Arnold Sanchez and presented by KDR Music House, this event is not just a concert; it’s an immersive out-of-a-kind format that transcends generations and walks of life.
The heartwarming tale, narrated by Dr. Clark (Kuya Daniel Razon), unfolds as Angeli (played by Mary Joy Apostol) and Kevin (JunJun Quintana) meet at an art museum, setting the stage for a tumultuous journey of love and revelations. The plot thickens with marriage, the birth of a child, and unexpected twists that lead Kevin to find new love with Georgia (Leinel Natividad).

These characters converge years later at a country fair, where hidden truths come to light, challenging loyalties and choices.
In a climactic finale, Kevin’s decision to stand by Angeli and their child underscores the timeless message that true love, like ocean tides, endures through life’s ups and downs.
Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of Wish Date as it takes the stage online through the digital stream premiere of ‘Wish Date: Tides’ on March 3, 2024, at 7:00 PM via KDR Music House’s YouTube channel.
