Young Creatives Challenge (YC2) holds grand finals, awarding ceremony

Empowered by the support of Senator Imee Marcos and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Young Creatives Challenge (YC2) was introduced to cultivate the next generation of artists. Embracing a theme-less approach, participants were encouraged to explore their passions without limitations.

Following rigorous scrutiny, the judging panel meticulously handpicked the top ten entries in each category, spotlighting the epitome of creative expression.

This pioneering initiative has not only crowned champions but also ignited a revolution in the creative sphere. What was once a youth-centric endeavor has now permeated across generations, inspiring aspiring artists from diverse backgrounds.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally come! The recently concluded Young Creatives Challenge (YC2) Grand Finals and Awarding Ceremony, held last 21 March 2024 at BGC, Taguig City, Metro Manila, brought together the best of the best, showcasing their creativity and excellence.

In alignment with Republic Act 11904, also known as the Philippine Creatives Industries Development Act (PCIDA), the Department of Trade and Industry has implemented the Malikhaing Pinoy Program to bolster the sustainability and growth of creative industries. Under this initiative, YC2 empowers exceptional talents, granting them a platform to flourish and gain recognition. Spearheaded by the DTI and with the generous support of Senator Imee Marcos, YC2 celebrates creativity across various categories from songwriting, screenwriting, playwriting, graphic novel making, animation, game development, to online content creation.

The winners of the YC2 Grand Finals across various categories have showcased exceptional talent and creativity, exemplifying the spirit of innovation and excellence.

  1. Let me congratulate you regarding the efforts and results. But there seems to be a few or minimal promo-marketing regarding this.

When you stated “young” are you referring to the age?

Why limit the program or competition to the young?

How come there are only 5 winners in the Screenwritting Category
